Eligibilty Criteria
- One or more of the following criteria:
- Successful completion of a BC secondary program (Grade 12) or its equivalent.
- Applicants must be at least 19 years of age by the first day of the first semester of attendance.
- Successful completion of an ABE (Adult Basic Education) or GED (General Educational Development) program.
- Note: Additional admission requirements may apply to specific programs. It is essential to check the program admission requirements for the course you intend to apply to.
- Conditional Admission: BC secondary school students who are under 19 years of age and are missing only one course required for graduation can apply for conditional admission. To be considered for conditional admission, students must submit an Appeal for Conditional Admission or Concurrent Studies Form, along with a completed application for admission and an official interim transcript showing the in-progress course.
- Secondary/Post-Secondary Concurrent Studies: BC secondary students entering or currently in Grade 12, demonstrating academic excellence, may apply for limited admission to university-transfer or open career courses while attending secondary school. Enrollment is limited to one course (up to four credits) per semester. Applicants must submit a completed Application for Admission form, Appeal for Conditional Admission or Concurrent Studies form, a letter of support from a school counselor, principal, or vice principal, and an official interim transcript showing completion of their Grade 11 year and current Grade 12 courses.
- Transferring Credit to Langara for Admission Purposes: Langara College evaluates eligibility for transfer credits as part of the admission process for specific programs. Students are not required to submit transfer credit requests for these programs, but official transcripts may be required. Course outlines may also be requested.
- English Language Proficiency Requirements: Langara College has English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements categorized into three categories. Applicants must meet the English Language Requirements or Proficiency Assessments specified for each category.
