• As an undergraduate program, the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree is open to students who have finished their pre-requisite/pre-medical bridging courses and have a high school diploma and 12 years of schooling.
• However, an MD (Doctor of Medicine) degree is a post-graduate degree created with the medical curricula of North American universities in mind, such as those in the USA and Canada, where admissions are contingent upon a bachelor’s degree in science or a related discipline. Additionally, they must finish the prerequisite coursework.
• The Emirates Standardized Test, or EmSAT, is used by many universities for MD and MBBS admissions. The computer-based exam assesses students’ proficiency in computer science, biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics.
• For admission to MBBS and MD programs in the United Arab Emirates, certain medical schools administer their entrance exams. The purpose of these tests is to assess the cognitive knowledge base. Science-related topics including physics, biology, chemistry, mathematics, and so on are tested.
