  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 
  • A minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0. 
  • In addition, applicants must submit their transcripts, a personal statement, and a portfolio of their work, if applicable. 
  • Applicants must also take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) as part of the admissions process.

  • Entrance Scholarships: Available to those joining in Fall with an admission average of 80% or more.
  • Prestige Scholarships: Available to those joining directly from high school or CEGEP with an admission average of 90%.
  • Additional Entrance Scholarships
    • Carleton Capital Scholarship: Available to 13 applicants, one from each province and territory.
    • Awards for International Students: Automatically applied for international students either for International Award of Excellence or International Award of merit.
    • Sprott School of Business Scholarships: Awarded to toppers entering the first year of the Bachelor of Commerce program.
    • Faculty of Engineering and Design Scholarships: Awarded to up to 60 toppers entering selected bachelor of Engineering programs.
    • Page Program Entrance Scholarships: Awarded to up to 15 students in the House of Commons Page Program entering an undergraduate degree program.
    • Arthur Kroeger College National Scholarships: Awarded to up to 10 students entering the Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management program. Students with admission average of 90% are selected from 5 regions (Atlantic Canada (British Columbia and Northern Canada, Ontario, Prairies, Quebec)
    • Collins Memorial Entrance Scholarships for Earth Sciences: Two or more of these scholarships are available to the students entering the first year of an Earth Sciences program.
    • The Law Scholarship in Architectural Studies: One scholarship is available to one student entering the Bachelor of Architectural Studies.

Accommodation and Other Facilities

Carleton University offers a wide range of accommodation options for students. From residences to private off-campus housing, there are plenty of options to fit everyone’s needs. 

The residence is the most popular choice for first-year students. Carleton has three residential complexes: Residence Commons, Canal Residence and Village Residence.
