Who Can Apply To SIPGA?
You can apply for the Singapore International Pre Graduate Award if:
- You’ re the 3rd or 4th undergraduate and masters international students from STEM fields
- You’ve maintained/ achieved at least a Second-Class (Upper) Honors or equivalent for bachelor’s degree
- You maintain official enrollment status at your home university while participating for the attachment
- You are proficient in English (both written and spoken)

Scholarship Benefits And Duration
The Singapore International Pre Graduate Award offers a monthly stipend of S$ 2,000 for a minimum duration of two months. The maximum duration of the scholarship can be extended for up to six months. Besides this, the students also get an opportunity to work in a world class research environment with some of the well- renowned researchers.
How To Apply to SIPGA?
Below we have discussed the application process for SIPGA Scholarship. But before that, make sure that your intended attachment start date must be at least 4 months from the date of application. To start with your application:

- Find out your suitable project and all the necessary details related to it.

- Now fill in the application form carefully and upload all the required documents.
- Choose a preferred start and end date for your attachment.
- Fill in your project selection. You can select up to three choices.
- Now, revise the form once and submit.
Important Dates
The Singapore International Pre Graduate Award (SIPGA) has three application cycles throughout the year. The applications for SIPGA, 25 are currently open for attachments beginning in between September- December 2025. The deadline lies on March 1st, 2025, 23:59 GMT +8 Singapore Time. Selection PRocess for SIPGA
The final winners are selected by the Astar Researcher. After successful submission of the application, the researcher/ selection panel reviews and shortlist candidates based on the eligibility fulfilment. If you are selected, you may be called for an interview with the Astar Researcher. This is the final round. All the selected candidates in the interview round would be contacted by mail for results.
Tips to qualify for the SIPGA Awards
The eligibility criteria mentioned for the Singapore International Pre Graduate Award (SIPGA) are non- exhaustive, meaning the selection committee could come up with more criteria to shortlist candidates. In order to be in the race:
- You should maintain a Second-Class (Upper) Honours or equivalent throughout your degree
- Convince the researchers about the importance of your research topic.
- Be passionate about research and talk clearly about it in your interviews.
- Maintain your enrollment at your home institution throughout the attachment period.
